Visakhapatnam all set to become the First Cashless City from October 9th

Visakhapatnam to become the first cashless city in the world This is the pilot project of the VISA company

According to Andhrabhoomi  VISA company representatives had a video conference with IT Minister Nara Lokesh on the implementation of cashless transactions in Visakhapatnam. VISA Company has made an agreement with the state government to take up Visakhapatnam as a pilot project for a cashless city. This is the first of its kind in the world.

VISA representatives expressed how they plan to make Vizag a cashless city and the good response from the people. Since the pilot project was successful they plan to implement it full fledged from October 9th.

Lokesh said that the government is planning to create a program in which there would be no surcharge on cashless transactions. He expressed that this project would be an inspiration to other places in the country.

The electricity department is using cashless transactions and being an inspiration to other departments. Petrol bunks, gas delivery, Universities and shops are encouraged to follow cashless transactions. Lokesh asked the representatives to educate and not pressurise people for cashless transactions.
