Telugu native Ashok Vemuri as contender for Infosys CEO

Infosys is on the lookout for its new CEO after Vishal Sikka Former employee of Infosys Ashok Vemuri’s name is in consideration and may be the probable choice He is presently working as Xerox Business Services CEO
IT global services and consulting major, Infosys has approached its former employee Ashok Vemuri to take over the reins as CEO after the exit of Vishal Sikka. Ashok is yet to respond to the request of Infosys as he is the current CEO of Xerox Business Services Pvt Ltd.
According to business sources, Infosys Nominations Committee and global executive search firm Egon Zehnder were given the task of finding the new CEO and were actively pursuing Ashok for the last two weeks.
Ashok worked as iGATE Corporation Chief when the company was in dire straits. He took over the reins and got the company back on its legs.
He also served as the global head of manufacturing at Infosys. Ashok has a good understanding of the Infosys culture and leadership roles which will be crucial as Infosys head.
Ex-CEO Vishal Sikka resigned after he had differences with Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy over corporate governance issues. Nandan Nilekani took over as non-executive chairman after Sikka.
