A man was found killed in a brutal manner at Vajrakutam village in Sankavaram mandal of East Godavari district on February 25, police said.

The victim was identified as S Rambabu, said Prathipadu circle inspector A Srinivasa Rao.

Rambabu took his sheep for grazing today morning, and when in the evening the sheep returned but he was nowhere to be seen, his family started a search.

They found his burnt body on the outskirts of the village, the inspector said.

While nobody has been arrested, police suspect that the killing may be a fall-out of enmity between two groups in the village said senior inspector Pardhasaradhi.
