First batch of 35 Amaravathi farmers leave for Singapore

123 Amaravathi farmers have been selected to visit Singapore The farmers were selected on the basis of lottery system They will visit Singapore in three batches

Andhra Pradesh government sent the first batch of 35 farmers from Amaravathi to Singapore on a three-day-visit. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu flagged off the bus from the Secretariat at Velagapudi on Monday. He expressed his happiness over capital city farmers visiting Singapore.

Capital Region Development Authority CRDA ) made all the arrangements for the trip. The farmers will board a flight to Hyderabad at Gannavaram and to Singapore from Hyderabad on Monday night.

The farmers would be staying in Singapore to see various residential and commercial areas, which would help the farmers to understand best business practices. Additional Joint Collector Chennakesavulu and Deputy Collector Yesuratnam are accompanying the farmers.

123 farmers have been selected based on lottery system. These farmers have given 32,000 acres of agricultural land for the construction of the new Andhra capital Amaravathi.
