Nowadays, we use Google Maps very commonly in our daily lives. Whether it's finding a way or reaching somewhere, Google Maps has become our first choice.
However, sometimes Google Maps advises us of routes that are completely wrong, which can get us into trouble.
Recently, a horrific accident occurred in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh due to wrong guidance from Google Maps, in which three people lost their lives.
To avoid such accidents, you should take some precautions so that the use of Google Maps is safe.
Google Maps gives wrong information when the app is not updated. Update Google Maps to avoid wrong route information from outdated versions.
Stay updated on new Google Maps features. If the app directs you to an unfamiliar or narrow path, ask a local for route advice.
If you go to an unknown place, use the 'Street View' option in Google Maps. In this, you can zoom in and see the path and know whether the path is narrow or closed.
To turn on Street View, tap the icon above the compass on the map and select 'Street View'.
Look carefully at the directions shown on Google Maps. If you find any indication of narrow roads or closed roads on a route, check it and get information from a local person.
