Quick Coconut Gujiya Recipe to try at home THIS Holi

Ingredients:

  • All-purpose flour – 2 cups
  • Coconut – 1.5 cups
  • Khoya – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cashews/almonds – 2 tablespoons
  • Ghee – 2 tablespoons

Knead the dough

  • Water/milk – as needed
  • Oil/ghee – for frying

Mix ghee into the all-purpose flour and knead into a slightly stiff dough. Cover and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.

Prepare the Gujiya stuffing

  • Lightly roast the khoya in a pan and add grated coconut, sugar, cardamom powder, and chopped dry fruits.
  • Set aside to cool.
