Mentally unstable man attacks BMTC bus passengers in Bengaluru

The man was seen attacking passengers in a BMTC bus which was travelling from Bengaluru's Srinagar to Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic)

Bengaluru: The passengers of a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus in Bengaluru began to panic after a 40-year-old man began to thrash them with an iron rod in a moving bus on Monday (May 27).

According to reports, the passengers successfully overpowered the man, identified as Kumar, and handed him over to the Cottonpet police. While the bus was travelling from Bengaluru's Srinagar to Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic), Kumar boarded the bus near Binny Mill.

As the man was handed over to the police, the officials realised that Kumar was mentally unstable and later shifted him to Victoria Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the police are trying to track down his family.
