Bengaluru: After politicians, it seems like moulvis have played a part in Muslims being trapped in investment scams.

While politicians like Roshan Baig, Zameer Ahmed Khan posing and sharing the dais with fraud accused had some impact on Muslims who invested in firms like IMA and Injaz Builders, moulvis of various masjids in the city too have been major influencers.

In an interview shown on an Urdu channel, chief imam of Jamia Masjid City Market is witnessed backing fraud accused IMA chief Mansoor Khan and praising his company.

A video of Roshan Baig's close aide and imam of Masjid-e-Beoparian in Shivajinagar too, is doing the rounds. The Muslim leader of the masjid is seen advising Muslims not to panic and have faith in IMA and its chief Mansoor.

In the video, he says companies owned by Ambani and Adani sometimes go through a rough patch, but IMA is a good company. He even claimed to have a good rapport with the IMA owner Mansoor Khan.
