Six days after the rains, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has still not been able to clear the roads of the branches of uprooted trees completely. BBMP Commissioner, N Manjunath Prasad, said "The magnitude of the damage is vast. Apart from 200 huge trees, we have to clear over 1000 tree branches. We have deployed 21 forest teams and also 63 teams at subdivision levels. In a day or two, the backlog will be cleared. The uprooted trees and branches will be dumped in public parks and later tenders will be floated so that people in the timber industry can make use of it."
