Bengaluru: Plastic is a bane not just for humans, but for animals too. Rampant use of plastic and reckless disposal has resulted in the death of as many as 10 cows at Ramasandra lake, in Kommaghatta, near Bengaluru.

The cows belonged to a person named Raghu and he alleged that contractors disposed of huge mounds of garbage every night, leading to the disaster. He further stated that he has complained to the officials of the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) and the revenue department, but it has been of no use.
