Shivaratri special: Music-playing Ganesha, 12 Shiva temples of India come alive in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: On the day of Shivaratri, the public can catch a glimpse of Ganesha playing piano, guitar, drums or even the shehnai along with a darshan of the huge Shivalinga. 12 major places of worship of Lord Shiva were also on display in Bengaluru.

Adarsha Gelayara Balaga and Brahamakumaris, spiritual organisations in RT Nagar, have put up a pandal in RT Nagar's HMT ground for the public for Shivaratri celebration.  Ganesha as a piano player, guitarist, shehnai master and drummer were  arranged by Balaga, along with special prayers and cultural programmes organised for the occasion. The event will also have a stand-up comedy by Sudha Bargur during midnight to keep the devotees awake.  At the pandal, a 20-feet Shivalinga and 12 places of worship have been designed for public display.

Somnath of Prabhasapattan, near Veraval, Sourashtra, Mallikarjun of Shrishailya, Andhra Pradesh, Mahankal of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, Omkar / Amaleshwar of Omkar, Mandhata, Kedarnath of Himalayas, Bhimashankar of Dakini region, Pune, Vishveshwar of Varanasi, etc, are set up for darshan.
