Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy S8, S8 Plus in the Indian market on 19 April. The devices are now available for pre-registrations here. There is no word on the pricing, but is expected to around ₹50000. Here are five reasons to buy the Samsung S8.

Infinite Display

We loved the new design! It is highly refreshing, to say the least. An edge-to-edge, bezel-less display takes up the complete front area, offering more viewing real estate in a compact form factor. Yes, Samsung offers a complete overhaul as the home button is given a miss and the fingerprint scanner moved to the rear side. It isn't just a high-definition and superior quality display, but enhances the design too. It is further protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

Bixby

We’ve seen Apple’s Siri, the Google Assistant, Amazon’s Alexa, and now Samsung's Bixby. Though the name is a sort of tongue twister, this newest AI-based assistant has been designed for a seamless experience on Samsung device. What's interesting is the multimodal feature that allows controlling multiple apps at the same time by simply using your voice. It has a plethora of features and will gradually be integrated to work with smart home appliances too. Moreover, Bixby has a dedicated button too. However, news has it that the device may launch without Bixby, for now.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy S8 retains the 12MP snapper, and why not? It did a wonderful job with the S7, and allowed Samsung to focus on other aspects that needed improvement. However, it does come with certain improvements using clever software such as multi-frame image processing that takes three shots and stacks them together for a sharper and less noisy image. Then there are host of filters and stickers to add to the convenience.

Security

With the age of mobile wallets, Samsung chose the right time to launch Samsung pay in India. Moreover, offering a full front screen experience, the company had to add newer ways showing how buttons could soon be redundant. This brings us to the iris and facial recognition, along with fingerprint scanner that the company has added.

Free goodies and enhanced experience

Samsung S8 pre-orders were said to ship with a free Gear VR and Oculus-powered controller, and expect a similar announcement for the Indian market. The combo is worth $129. Besides, the company has bundled high-performance earphones tuned by AKG by Harman, claiming to offer unbeatable sound quality as an in-box accessory. A hybrid canal, noise cancellation and anti-tangle metal-fabric material have been promised. There's also Dex and Connect that further enhance user experience.
