Freedom 251’s delivery delayed yet again!

Synopsis

Ringing Bells, which claimed to manufacture the world’s cheapest smartphone, has once again failed to keep its word and initiate the delivery process from June 30.

The delivery process, which is now expected (as many times before!) to be available for delivery from July 5, is said to have been delayed at the owners' end.

After failing to keep his promise many times, Ringing Bells CEO Mohit Goel has said a launch event will be organised in Delhi on July 7, according to an Indian Express report.

The makers of Freedom 251 have been continuously trying to approach Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be adopted under the ‘Make in India’ venture.

Currently, the company is ready with 2 lakh handsets; however, 70 lakh orders are still pending.

The company needs help from the government for completing orders, said Goel in an interview.

After the company has repeatedly failed to keep its promises, July 7 too looks a little dicey.
