Rajinikanth expected to take the political plunge on August 20

Synopsis

Rajinikanth had earlier not denied speculations pertaining to his entry in politics. In his meetings with fans, he criticised the state of affairs in Tamil Nadu. "The actor will release the state from the clutches of both the DMK and AIADMK", believes Gandhian People's Movement leader Thamizharuvi Manian.

Good news may finally prevail for Thalaiva fans. Their favourite superstar Rajinikanth may finally enter politics on August 20. If we are to believe Gandhian People's Movement leader Thamizharuvi Manian's words, Rajini is likely to announce his arrival in politics on Aug 20. Thamizharuvi, speaking to Deccan Chronicle said, "The conference in Tiruchy will also mark the beginning of the countdown for the corrupt government headed by Edappadi K. Palaniswami. The actor will release the state from the clutches of both the DMK and AIADMK, which had made corruption omni-present for the last five decades."

He further added, "Palaniswami government is counting its days in office due to the internal squabbles in the party and the continuance of the present government is against the welfare of the state."

Ushering in hope for a good change in Tamil Nadu, Rajini's entry into politics can finally assure justice and a corruption-free environment, says the leader. He also said that the superstar's meeting on August 20 will be attended by a number of his fans in front of whom he will declare his entry into politics. The conference is likely to discuss Rajinikanth's necessity to enter politics and the changes he can bring. Incidentally, Thamizharuvi has been giving interviews confirming Rajinikanth's entry into politics in the near future and in none of the occasions was he opposed by the superstar, thus brewing speculations that he is really interested in politics.

Some versions also reveal that he will meet his fans in September or October and it is then that he would break the news. In his earlier meetings with his fans, he had criticised the system in the state and declared " I will consider when the war approaches”.
