Will birthday bring good luck to Kohli in Rajkot?

Synopsis

Team India arrived at Rajkot on Saturday for first Test vs England. Skipper Kohli celebrated his 28th birthday the same day. The first Test is set to begin on November 9.

India and England will lock horns in a five-Test series which will be followed by three ODIs and three T20Is.

The likes of Gautam Gambhir, Ishant Sharma, Jayant Yadav and Amit Mishra arrived around 8.25 am along with Virat Kohli and other team members, SCA media manager Himanshu Shah told PTI.

 

The Indian Test skipper, who celebrated his 28th birthday on Saturday is expected to have a birthday bash at Hotel Imperial here where the Indian team has been put up.

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma also accompanied Kohli to the hotel, the media manager added.

 

Vishakapatnam, Mohali, Mumbai and Chennai respectively will host the remaining four Tests between India and England.

 

India is all set to host a five-Test series after 29 long years. The last time India hosted a five-Test series was in 1987 when Pakistan toured India.

World No. 1 Team India are coming off a superb 3-0 win in the three-Test series against Kane Williamson's New Zealand, while England will have memories of almost losing a Test to Bangladesh fresh.
