Tokyo Olympics just became a platform of personal reward and life achievement as well. On Tuesday, Argentine fencer Perez Maurice received a life-changing yet happiest proposal of her life.
She was involved in the Round of 32 fencing bout against Hungary’s Anna Marton, which the Argentine lost. However, her coach Lucas Guillermo Saucedo sneaked up from behind during her post-bout interview, holding a hand-written letter.
Immediately, the interviewer asked her to look behind her, as she was surprised and taken aback by seeing her coach holding a marriage proposal letter that read in Spanish, “Will you marry me??? Please”. She accepted his proposal, as both kissed each other.

Following the same, she said, “I forgot everything. I was like: ‘Oh my God’. We are delighted. We are perfect partners. Of course, we fight, but we also enjoy ourselves with each other. We love each other very much, and we truly want to spend our lives together. Once we reach Buenos Aires, we would celebrate with a big barbecue.”
Meanwhile, Saucedo reckoned about the proposal by stating, “I love her, and when she lost the match, she got despondent, so I thought maybe, this proposal could change her mind. I wrote it on the paper at the very moment. Of course, had she won, I would have waited for the right moment.”
