American gymnast Simone Biles has been in the headlines of late due to her recent struggles with mental health issues affecting her Tokyo Olympics stint. While she missed Sunday's vault and uneven bars finals, she has also decided to pull out of Monday's floor exercise final.
"Simone has withdrawn from the event final for floor and will make a decision on beam later this week. Either way, we're all behind you, Simone," said USA Gymnastics in a statement.
She had posted a video on Instagram on Friday, suggesting that she was suffering from 'twisties'. It is a mental condition that makes one feel uncomfortable while twisting in mid-air, which disturbs the gymnast's rhythm and the performer cannot execute the trick entirely.

Meanwhile, her replacement for the floor exercise final is yet to be announced by the USA Gymnast. Earlier, for Sunday's vault final, MyKayla Skinner was announced as her replacement, while in the uneven bars final, Melanie de Jesus dos Santos of France replaced her.
"Looks like I get to put a competition, Leo, on just one more time. Can't wait to compete in vault finals. Doing this for us @Simone_Biles (red heart emoji) It's go time, baby!" Skinner had written on social media.
