The only proud moment for the Indian contingent in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics so far has come in the form of weightlifter Mirabai Chanu. She won the silver medal in the women's 49 kg category, thus becoming only the second Indian woman and the first silver-medalist in the sport.
However, she still has a chance to change the colour of her medal to gold. According to an ANI report, gold medalist Zhihui Hou of China has been asked by the Olympics' anti-doping authorities to test her samples. "She has been asked to stay in Tokyo, and the test will be done. The test is definitely happening," a source told the agency.

In case Hou fails the dope test, she would lose her gold medal. Consequently, as per the Olympics rule, the silver medalist would then be awarded the gold, which in this case would be Chanu.
The Indian managed to lift 20 2kg (Snatch- 87 kg & Clean and Jerk- 115 kg) in her four successful attempts. Meanwhile, the Chinese had lifted 210 kg, which happened to be an Olympic record.
