India's dream of winning a medal in women's hockey at the Tokyo Olympics ended on a sour note, losing 3-4 to Great Britain. Nonetheless, the nation continued to back its female warriors.

It was a heartbreak for the Indian women's hockey team that lost its bronze medal playoff at the Tokyo Olympics, losing 3-4 to Great Britain. It turned out to be India's joint-best finish at the Games to date, as it also finished fourth during the 1980 Moscow Olympics.

Along with the women, it was also heartbreak for the fans and the nation. However, the Indian citizens backed their female warriors for putting up a valiant effort and show to entertain us all.
