The T20 format is a current hit in India for the cricket fans after ten seasons of IPL. Adding to the fame of T20, the second season of Tamil Nadu Premiere League (TNPL) will begin from tomorrow.

After its inauguration, TNPL’s first match will be played between defending champions Albert TUTI Patriots and Dindigul Dragons in M.A Chidambaram Stadium at Chennai.

Before its start, here are the top five favourite players to watch out for:

Dinesh Karthik: After winning their first title in the very first season, Albert TUTI Patriots will be led by DK. Playing for India in the recent tour to West Indies, DK was a great hit in ODI with his variety of shots. Among all other star players like R Ashwin, L Balaji and Murali Vijay, the 32-year-old will be gearing up to score some runs.

However, the likes of R Ashwin and Murali Vijay to feature in TNPL are not certain as they might have to leave for National duty.

Washington Sundar: The 17-year-old lad was emerging star player from the TNPL's first season. He played a vital role for his team, Albert TUTI Patriots’ to win the title. He had clinched 11 wickets with an economy rate of 5.5

Adding to his fame, Sundar replaced R Ashwin for Rising Pune Supergiant’s side in 2017 IPL where he contributed for his team to reach the final.

N Jagadeeshan: Playing for Dindigul Dragons in the first season, Jagadeeshan scored 397 runs. This Wicket-keeper batsmen had scored five fifties with an average of 56.71. Apart from being a big hit of the first season, the 21-year-old was also tried by selectors for replacing Royal Challengers Bangalore’s KL Rahul.

T Natarajan: Another Dragons star, Nattu, as he is addressed by team members, was praised by cricketers who compared him to Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman. Famously known for his Yorkers, he got ten wickets in just seven matches. Not restricting his performance in T20, the 26-year-old went on to take whopping 27 wickets in Ranji Trophy out of nine games.

Getting an opportunity to play for Kings XI Punjab, Nattu was bought for Rs 3 Crores where he managed to take two wickets out of nine matches.

S Badrinath: Making his debut to team India in 2008, the 36-year-old was part of Chennai Super Kings from 2008-13. Presently playing for RCB, Badrinath was not a hit in the first season. But he will be one of the favourites for his experience in T20s.
