Thrice champ Saina crashes out of Indonesia Open

India's champion shuttler Saina Nehwal has crashed out of the Indonesia Open in the quarter-finals.

Saina, the eighth seed, endured a 22-24, 11-21 defeat against top seed and world No.1 Carolina Marin of Spain, in just 47 minutes.

The Indian, who is a three-time winner of Indonesia Open (2009, 2010 and 2012) had earlier defeated the local favourite Fitriani Fitriani to reach the last eight.

Marin, the world champion will take on the fourth-seeded Chinese Wang Yihan in the semi-finals.
