
As the nation hails the country's first Olympics hockey medal in 41 years, Minister of Sports & Youth Services in Punjab, Rana Gurmit S Sodhi on Thursday announced a cash award of Rs 1 crore each for players from state.

India clinched the bronze medal after defeating Germany 5-4 in the Tokyo Olympics men's hockey to earn their first medal in 41 years.
The Men in Blue showed absolute resilience, strength, and winning spirit to register a remarkable comeback win against a strong German team.
