Narsingh Yadav fails second dope test

Indian wrestler Narsingh Yadav's participation in the Rio Olympics 2016 has become even more doubtful after he fails the second dope test. 

The positive result in the second test doesn’t come as a surprise as the test was conducted on sample B of the same unit that tested positive earlier, according to an NDTV report. 

The urine sample of an athlete for a dope test is divided into two parts, sample A and sample B, and preserved for the test.  This is done to ensure that if something goes wrong with the first sample, the other part of the same unit can be tested.

Claims by Narsingh Yadav about his food supplements being spiked have been refuted after an investigation confirmed that his supplements were clean.

The Indian wrestler's urine sample tested positive for Anabolic steroids, a banned drug for sportsmen.

However, a decision from NADA is still pending, which is expected to come by today evening, over Yadav’s participation in the Rio Olympics.
