Milkha Singh continues to battle for health following fever and dip in oxygen saturation level

Legendary former Indian athlete and sprinter Milkha Singh has been battling troubled health for the past month after being diagnosed with COVID-19. His health seems to have deteriorated again following some fever and a dip in oxygen saturation level.

Milkha Singh is a legendary former Indian athlete who has been struggling with troubled health for the past month. He had been diagnosed with COVID-19 and made a recovery from it. However, he seems to be battling with post-COVID complications.

According to a PTI report on Friday, Milkha has developed some fever. At the same time, there has also been a dip in his oxygen saturation level. He continues to be in the Intensive Care Unit of the PGIMER hospital in Chandigarh, besides being kept under strict doctor observation.

"He suddenly developed a fever Thursday night and his oxygen saturation levels dipped. A team of doctors is monitoring him," sources at the PGIMER were quotes as saying. "It's been a slightly rough day for Milkha Ji. But, he is battling away," added a statement from his family.

Milkha had contracted the COVID from his family cook, while the latter worked for him for the past 50 years. Following the same, even Milha's wife, Nirmal Kaur, had attracted the coronavirus. In contrast, after battling the disease for a few weeks, she had passed away at a private hospital in the same city last Sunday.
