Kohli’s whopping Rs 5 crore fee leaves behind these 5 celebs

Synopsis

His fee earlier was not cheap either as it was on par with other celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Amir Khan. The hike in his endorsement fee apparently came as the negotiations were on with PepsiCo, through which Kohli could earn ₹ 20 crore for the year.

Have you wondered how much Virat Kohli charges for an advertisement shoot per day? The answer can make your jaw drop -- ₹ 5 crore per day! Isn’t that figure jaw-dropping? Reports suggested that he previously used to charge somewhere between ₹ 2.5 – 4 crore per day. But now he has hiked his fees to a whopping ₹ 5 crore a day.

His fee earlier was not cheap either as it was on par with other celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Amir Khan. The two Bollywood superstars charge somewhere around ₹ 3 – 3.5 crore per day for advertisement shoots.

The hike in his endorsement fee apparently came as the negotiations were on with PepsiCo, through which Kohli could earn ₹ 20 crore for the year. Cornerstone Sport, the agency which handles Kohli’s deals refused to make a comment on his fee hike but showed positive intent about the PepsiCo deal.

"Virat is contracted with Pepsi until April 30. We are currently negotiating a contract extension with the Pepsi-Co team. Pepsi has been one of our longest and most fruitful associations until now and hopefully, we will collaborate with them for years to come," Cornerstone Sport CEO Bunty Sajdeh was quoted as saying by The Economic Times.

These are the celebrities Kohli just left behind in terms of endorsement fees: Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and MS Dhoni.
