The KAA has also planned various other programmes in rural areas to help athletes to make a career out of sports. They have also decided to launch a new website in the first week of March  

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Athletic Association (KAA) has released an action plan for 2022 for the betterment of the athletes in the state. KAA president N Muthappa Rai released the action plan titled 'Vision 2022'.

He said in a meeting that the association's target is to increase use of the Sree Kanteerava Stadium for athletics, certified coaches in the state, creation of a database of athletes, raising participation in track and field activities.

He also accorded priority to three important aspects, rebuilding of KAA to international standards, good governance and production of quality athletes for state and nation at all level and age categories by 2022.

The manifesto’s launch saw a host of celebrities and VIPs in attendance including actor Prakash Raj and senior IPS officer D Roopa. Also, Olympians Pramila Aiyappa and Anju Bobby George and many other people from different platforms attended the function.
