Manika Batra has won the first round match against Great Britain's Ho Tin-Tin has begun in Tokyo 2020 women's singles table tennis.
Manika sailed through the first two sets 11-7. 11-6.
Ho Tin-Tin put up a spirited fight in the last two sets. In the third set, Manika came from behind to win the set 12-10.
Manika won the last set 11-9.

In the first game, the Indian pair won 21-16 against Chinese Taipei's Li Yang and Wang Chi-lin.

Sumit Nagal lost the second set tiebreaker to Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan 7-6 in the first round of men's singles tennis.
In the first set, Sumit had won 6-4 in 42 minutes, but in the second set, Sumit had to face defeat after a 71-minute long struggle.
Istomin took a 1-0 lead in the third set as well.

China's Yang Qian, who won the first medal of Tokyo 2020, won the gold medal in the final of the 10m women's air rifle with a new Olympic record of 251.8.
The silver medal in this event was won by ROC's Anastasia Galashina with a score of 251.1, while Switzerland's Nina Christen won the bronze with a score of 230.6.
