Ind vs Aus: Virat Kohli’s gusto can tame the visitors in 3rd Test

Synopsis

Australia have been infamous for their on-field sledging and they probably they did not expect to taste their own medicine. With Virat Kohli at the helm of the Indian team, it was but obvious that he was not going to keep quiet and digest whatever was coming on his team’s way.

India and Australia will lock horns in the third Test in Ranchi on Thursday. This series has already been one of the most gripping Test series in recent times and it promises to continue like that. It has indeed been a crazy week for both sides – from the DRS controversy, Kohli-Smith tussle, pitch conditions, it has all been acrimonious.

Australia have been infamous for their on-field sledging and they probably they did not expect to taste their own medicine. With Virat Kohli at the helm of the Indian team, it was but obvious that he was not going to keep quiet and digest whatever was coming on his team’s way.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy has gone beyond the 22-yards but Kohli decided to bring the focus back on cricket with fitting replies to the journalists at the pre-match press conferences. But captain Kohli will not be just relying on his replies on and off the field. He would want his bat do the talking as well in the remaining two Test matches.

The Indian captain has only managed to put up scores of 0, 13, 12 and 15. The kind of form Kohli was in prior to this series, these numbers are surely disappointing.

However, the Australians will not mind this banter because they have always loved such tussles. In case they become over-confident about the situation and their prowess, they might just commit a mistake as the Kohli and co. are not going to settle for a draw and they would definitely want to tame the upbeat Aussies.
