WWE legend Hulk Hogan’s sudden passing at the age of 71 has left the wrestling world in shock. While tributes pour in from fans and friends across the globe, a heartbreaking detail has surfaced - his final conversation with his estranged daughter, Brooke Hogan.
The two had not been on good terms since 2023, when Brooke, now 37, chose not to attend Hulk’s wedding to Sky Daily. Their fractured relationship stemmed from a long-standing series of unresolved issues, many reportedly involving the way Hogan treated her over the years.
According to a report by TMZ, their last interaction happened around two weeks before Hogan’s wedding. During that emotional phone call, Brooke told her father that she loved him. Sources say that moment is something she now holds close, knowing it was the last time they ever spoke.
Brooke had also issued a plea to her father during that call, urging him to slow down due to his deteriorating health. She expressed concern that he was still working too hard and ignoring the signs of physical decline. However, Hogan didn’t want to hear it, according to sources. He remained defiant, ignoring her worries.
The same source added that Hogan apologized during the conversation, although he didn’t specify exactly what he was apologizing for. That brief exchange would mark the end of their interaction, as they hadn’t spoken since.
In the days following Hulk’s passing, Brooke reportedly told those close to her that she was thankful she told him she loved him during their final call. She’s said to be “at peace” with the fact that she tried her best to mend their relationship, even if things never fully healed.
Brooke’s husband, former ice hockey player Steven Oleksy, had also made efforts in the past to repair the father-daughter bond. Unfortunately, sources say Hogan wanted a relationship only on his terms, which made reconciliation difficult.
Hogan’s death occurred after Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a call for cardiac arrest at his Florida home. Later that day, his representatives confirmed the heartbreaking news with a statement: “Unfortunately, we must confirm that Terry Bollea, aka Hulk Hogan, passed away this morning. We are heartbroken. He was such a great human being and friend.”
Just weeks earlier, his wife Sky Daily had shut down rumors about Hogan’s health, stating he was not in a coma and had no signs of brain damage. The Hall of Famer had reportedly undergone major surgery in May but was believed to be recovering.
Hogan is survived by Sky Daily, his former wife Linda Hogan, and his two children, Brooke and Nick.
