Harleen Deol’s epic catch stunned Anand Mahindra; Tendulkar calls it 'catch of the year' (Video)

Indian cricketer Harleen Deol jumped across the boundary ropes to complete one of the best catches in women’s cricket.

The Indian women's cricket team might have lost to England in the first T20 International, but Harleen Deol captivated cricket fans and celebrities with her incredible catch dismissing Amy Ellen Jones.

Showcasing her athletics skills, the 23-year-old, Harleen, positioned at long-off, jumped across the boundary ropes and took a reverse-cupped catch above her head. She threw the ball up in the air when she lost her balance and jumped in time to make a full-stretch dive to achieve one of the best catches ever taken in women’s cricket.

Harleen’s jaw-dropping catch surprised many, including Mahindra group chairman Anand Mahindra. Sharing the video on Twitter, Mahindra wrote, “Nope. Not possible. Couldn’t have happened. Must be some special effects trick. What? It was real? Ok, move over Gal Gadot; the real Wonder Woman is here.” 

Sachin Tendulkar praised Harleen’s brilliance and considered it as the "catch of the year". Watch the video.
