United was determined to continue its 26-game unbeaten streak away from home in the tournament. As it travelled to Southampton, it faces tough competition. While Fred's goal in the 30th minute put the host ahead, Mason Greenwood drew level in the 55th, eventually ending in a draw. As a result of this draw, the Red Devils slipped to the fifth spot.
