Cristiano Ronaldo looks to be getting close to a move away from Juventus before the transfer window shuts in five days. Meanwhile, reports suggest that he is close to agreeing to a deal with Manchester City.

Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo has been surprisingly linked to a move away from Juventus just five days before the transfer window shuts. Furthermore, he has been linked to a club none other than Manchester City, which happens to be a rival of his old English club Manchester United.

According to an ESPN report, Ronaldo is close to agreeing to a deal with City. However, there is still a roadblock ahead, as Juventus is adamant about receiving a bid of around €28 million before letting go of the Portuguese this season.

Nevertheless, sources have indicated that the roadblock could be cleared, and the deal could be reached before the transfer window shuts. Also, Ronaldo has supposedly told Juventus that he is eager to leave right away and would not be a part of the side's game against Empoli on Saturday.

City was initially targetting English striker Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. However, he confirmed that he would be staying in London this season, ending City's pursuit in the process. City is eager to land in a replacement from club legend Sergio Aguero, who left last season.

Meanwhile, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri does not seem to be concerned with Ronaldo's possibility of leaving. However, if he does leave, the club would sign his replacement soon, despite the window closing on August 31. Nevertheless, sources have also indicated that there have been no formal talks between City and Juventus on Ronaldo's transfer.

Earlier, Ronaldo had dismissed reports and rumours of his possible return to Real Madrid. At the same time, a move to City is still considered baffling, considering Ronaldo's legacy with United, as it would indeed be a hard pill to swallow for United fans.
