Football fans in Brazil have some amazing news, thanks to a popular YouTube channel. CazeTV, a sports media company backed by football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, has announced that it will stream the entire FIFA World Cup for free on YouTube in Brazil.

The World Cup is being held across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Ronaldo recently made a huge investment in a Brazilian sports media company called 'LiveMode'. This company is now teaming up with the popular YouTube platform 'CazeTV' to stream the World Cup for free in Brazil. CazeTV was started in 2022 by Brazilian YouTuber and streamer Casimiro Miguel, in partnership with LiveMode. The channel has confirmed that all 104 matches of the upcoming World Cup will be broadcast in 4K quality. They also plan to show behind-the-scenes footage, special programs, and interactive sessions to attract younger audiences.

So, can we watch it in India?

Here's the bad news. While fans in Brazil can watch the World Cup for free on YouTube, Indian football fans won't be able to access it directly. The free broadcast is limited only to Brazil. CazeTV and its parent company LiveMode have bought the digital rights from FIFA only for the Brazilian region. This means that even if you open the channel on YouTube or Twitch from India, the live matches will not be available.

Where can we watch the World Cup in India?

As of now, there's no official announcement on who will broadcast the World Cup in India. However, reports suggest that the 'Zee' Group is very close to bagging the rights. The deal is reportedly worth between 30 to 35 million US dollars (around ₹250-290 crore). Zee is also planning a major comeback in sports broadcasting with four new sports channels under the name 'Unite8 Sports'. If the deal is confirmed, football fans in India will be able to watch the World Cup matches live on Zee's television channels and its Zee5 OTT app. The path became clearer for Zee Group after the Reliance-Disney alliance reportedly pulled out of the bidding process.
