Can Tottenham Hotspur end Chelsea’s red-hot run in Premier League?

Synopsis

Chelsea are 10 points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur. If Spurs win tonight, they can dismantle the Gunners from the top four of Premier League table.

Chelsea are on a dream run under Antonio Conte as they have registered 13 wins on a trot in Premier League now. The Blues from the Stamford Bridge can equal Arsenal’s record of 14 wins in a row if they edge past Tottenham Hotspur at the White Hart Lane on Wednesday. But the Spurs have also been playing good football and Mauricio Pochettino’s side will not be an easy opponent for Diego Costa and co. that too at the White Hart Lane.

Spurs are placed in the fifth position in the Premier League table currently and if they manage to outclass Conte’s men on Wednesda, they will successfully remove Arsenal from the top four.

It is surely going to be a mouth-watering London derby at Spurs’ backyard on Wednesday. Chelsea’s Costa and Eden Hazard have scored 23 goals together, while Harry Kane and Dele Alli of Spurs have scored 18 in this ongoing season. It may turn out to be a goal feast as well.

Most importantly, if Spurs end Chelsea’s incredible run, the top four will open up yet again making the Premier League 2016-2017 season head towards a thrilling finish. However, things are far from being done as Chelsea are 10 points ahead of Spurs currently and are one of the obvious title contenders.

Pochettino’s men will have to come up with a herculean effort to outshine a red-hot Chelsea.
