BCCI frets over KL Rahul's beer, calls it a 'bad example'

Synopsis

It looks like BCCI officers were not amused by Rahul’s post, where he posted with some beer, Umesh Yadav and Stuart Binny, and have made him take down the post in no time.

But the internet does not forget. By the time the post was removed, the photo of Rahul, who hails from Karnataka, had already gone viral.

It would seem the BCCI is taking its moral policy very seriously.

India's players have received a strict warning against posting anything that ‘sets a bad example to society’ on social media, BCCI sources told The Hindu.

“Youngsters follow the star cricketers and follow their behaviour. They take these stars as an example. So the players should keep this in mind, before acting or reacting to any situation,” a BCCI officer was quoted as saying.

Currently, the Virat Kohli led-Indian cricket team is on West Indies tour and has played two practice games. It is gearing up for four test matches from July 21.

Currently, Rahul’s good performance in the practice matches seems to be the only saving grace for the cricketer.
