The BCCI has deputed Dr. MV Sridhar, GM - Cricket Operations to supervise the Team Management for the West Indies tour. Meanwhile, the BCCI will continue to look for a new head coach for the Senior India Men's Cricket Team with the help of the Cricket Advisory Committee.
Anil Kumble’s stint as India’s head coach has come to an end. He was appointed as the coach in June, 2016. In the one year of his tenure India achieved great success and his track record as coach is one of the best in recent times. 5. India beat England 2-1 at home in ODI series in January 2017
6. India beat England 2-1 at home in T20 series in January-February 2017
7. India beat Bangladesh 1-0 at home in test series in February 2017
8. India beat Australia 2-1 at home in test series in February-March 2017
However, India did lose a T20 series against West Indies, a test series and also the Champions Trophy.
With a win of 22 matches from an overall 35, with four test match draws and one T20 draw, India had an impeccable win rate of 73 per cent under the guidance of Anil Kumble.
