We've seen film stars and celebrities taking social media by storm. But this vegetable vendor from Kerala quietly surpassed many celebrity viral videos with his live-video that he apparently shot in rage and helplessness.

A small-scale vegetable vendor took to Facebook live video the other day to protest against artificial inflation created by big merchants during Bakrid-Onam festival season at Kayamkulam in Kerala. He fumed against the ruthless business and dared the police who summoned to the station allegedly under pressure from fellow traders. The video is getting great support from the social media.

Noushad Ahammed, a vegetable and fruits vendor in Kayamkulam in Alappuzha district, chose to go on live video on Facebook after a few merchants in the locality approached the police to stop him selling things at a very low price. He was summoned to the police station, but the Noushad picked his phone and went on live video on Facebook, declaring his stand to the whole world. "I am not ready to sell goods at a cut-throat price. They are selling things worth just Rs.5 at a whopping Rs.50," Noushad alleged.

"I am not going to the police station either. I will continue to sell goods at reasonable price. I procure vegetables and fruits directly from farmers and sell them at a fair price. This is my duty, my faith. I am also making good profit even by selling at a low price," he clarified.

The vendor received great support from the social media and in less than three days, the video was viewed by more than 1.1million people, got more than 35,000 shares and more than 98,000 likes!.
