Truck falls on car crushing three students to death at Kannur
Synopsis
Three college students met with a tragic death on Thursday morning near Iritty in Kannur when a container truck fell over their car, killing them on the spot.
The deceased are identified as Ashiq,19, Minas,19 and Yaseeen, 18, all belonging to Vadakara in Kozhikode. All of them are degree students of MHES College at Vadakara. The students were on a picnic to Coorg. As per initial reports, there were eight students in the car and their fate is yet to be known. The car was stationed at the check post when the accident took place.
The accident occured at Perumbadi near the Karnataka border. The container truck lost control and fell on the car which was waiting at the check post. The injured have been admitted to a hospital at Virajpeta in Karnataka.
