South African nationals land in police net for theft

Synopsis

The duo were arrested from Kozhikode. The accused belong to Pretoria in South Africa.

Police have arrested two South African nationals from Kozhikode for fraud. 

 


 Police were on the look out for the Pretoria natives in connection with stealing ₹ 24,000 from a financial institution in Kannur when the duo landed in police custody while stealing jewellery from a showroom in Kozhikode.

 


Boroumand Sadique Muhammed and a woman identified as Bagheri Manzar managed to cheat employees of Royal Finance by  impersonating as Income Tax officials.

 


Police identified the fraudsters from the CCTV footage recovered from both the places.

 


Police suspect that the same gang might have been involved in stealing Euro currencies from a money exchange in Mananthavady a few days back.
