A history-sheeter who was recently released from the prison was hacked to death by a gang of five at his residence on Sunday.  Srinivas, 35, who was an enlisted rowdy sheeter with the Banashankari police, started working as a car driver ever since he was released from the prison.

According to sources he was also into real estate business and was staying with his wife and children in JP Nagar.  On Sunday around 3 am a gang of five men started knocking at Srinivas’s residence waking the entire family.

The gang then barged in and attacked Srinivas with sharp weapons; his wife who tried to intervene was pushed away by the attackers and killed Srinivas.  By the time the neighbours reached to help, the assailants had already fled.
