Putting crucial flight information and data of travellers under risk, the official website of Thiruvananthapuram International Airport was hacked on Wednesday morning by a Pakistan-based virtual gang.
After the attack, the hackers identified as 'Kashmiri Cheetah', posted a message saying "We are unbeatable, mess with the best, die like the rest".
The website was restored in half an hour.
Although, some national media reported had that the website of Cochin International Airport was also hacked, P S Jayan, spokesperson for Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) denied the reports.
In March this year, the same group had carried out a cyber strike on the official website of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur and had warned that all the government websites would be their target.
