The royal wedding is scheduled for six days, as per tradition and culture. The palace is witnessing such royal grandeur and bonhomie after a gap of 36 years.

Yaduveer Wadiyar is the adopted son of the late Sriknatadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar and Pramodadevi Wadiyar of the Mysore royal family. Amid 'veda-goshas' and sacred chanting of purohits, Yadhuveer tied the nuptial knot at 10.22 am and the royal couple formally entered the 'Gruhasta Ashrama'.

The prince was dressed in an unusual long suit, known as an 'Angaraka', designed by his mother, Pramoda Devi.

Coincidentally, though he is an adopted son, the wedding of Yaduveer’s parents – Swaroopananda Gopalraje Urs and Tripura Sundaridevi was said to have taken place in the same Mayura Kalyana Mantap many years ago.
