Mob attacks Newspaper office in  Kerala

Synopsis

 An irate mob vandalised the office of Mathrubhumi, one of the widely read Malayalam newspaper, at Malappuram and threatened staff on Tuesday. The attack followed the photojournalists of the newspaper tried to take pictures of the mob trying to smash down a bus that caused an accident.

  
On Tuesday afternoon, a speeding private bus collided with a motorbike at Malappuram and the angry crowd destroyed the bus and staged a protest. When photographers reached the site to take pictures there. Some people warned them against taking pictures of people vandalising the bus. A few minutes after the media persons returned to their office,   a group barged into the newspaper office and threatened the staff.

 

The miscreants also pelted stones at the office damaging the glass panes.The mob dispersed only after the police intervention.
