Malayalee youth gives desi touch to Grand Theft Auto

Synopsis

The high-octane video game Grand Theft Auto (GTA) just got a Kerala touch to it--from the vehicles to buildings, everything is set in God's own country.  Interestingly, it's a Class XII student from Wayanad who has the wildly popular video game a local makeover.

Stani Mathew, an ardent gamer from Sultan Batheri in Wayanad struck a contract with the US-based developer of GTA and also obtained the rights modify, upgrade and sell the game online. The local version of GTA costs Rs 500.  In the process, mathew has become one of the youngest online entrepreneurs of Kerala.
