Frustrated home buyers to submit a petition before Karnataka Government against real estate lobby

The frustrated home buyers from Bengaluru and across Karnataka have come under single banner 'Fight for RERA'. 'United Bengaluru' and 'Namma Bengaluru Foundation' are demanding justice for home buyers. The victims say, the unholy nexus between builders, officials and politicians have destroyed the purpose of Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). The victims further allege that despite the clear-cut direction from RERA on the handling of a particular project on time, the builders continue to make them wait for years, send goons to silence them, and in few cases, builders give possession of the property under dispute with severe civil rule violation. The BBMP, BWSSB, BESCOM, BDA also charge money and give permissions and now make a 'U-turn'. Now, the victims and the NGOs have drafted a memorandum, which will be submitted to state chief minister HD Kumaraswamy for his intervention.
