Synopsis

 The railway board has come up with a decision that taking selfies in the railway station or on the tracks will be charged a fine of Rs 2000. 

Taking selfies have landed people in many dangerous situations and incidents especially when it comes to railways. The railway board has come up with a decision that taking selfies in the railway station or on the tracks will be charged a fine of Rs 2000.  

If the new law is violated, Rs 2000 will be charged, and for those who make railway stations dirty, a fine of Rs 500 will be imposed. The new law has become effective since Friday (June 22). The railway board is organising awareness programmes through various NGOs.

For the safety of passengers, the Railway board will install CCTV cameras in the railway stations and the coaches. Cameras will be set up in select trains, all railway stations and later, in every coach of the train.
