As if taken cue from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Man Ki Baat', Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday addressed people through radio to highlight achievements of his government on completion of 100 days in power.The ten-minute long speech was aired by All India Radio and private FM channels at 7.40 am.

The Chief Minister began his speech with a stern message against drugs and narcotics abuse. He said the government would show no leniency in dealing with such cases and every parent must support the government to wipe out the social evil.

Calling for a joint effort, Pinarayi Vijayan appealed to people to cooperate in the fight against communal forces that are trying to create rift in society.
The Chief Minister emphasised on taking effective steps for proper waste management and informed that the state would be declared open defecation-free on November 1.
He also stated that his government would take steps to enforce the Food Safety Act in an effective manner and strengthen public distribution system.
However, the Chief Minister refrained from announcing new projects or schemes in his speech.
