Dubai: In a city recognised for its architectural ambition, international business community, and vibrant cultural landscape, Osama Ahmad Khan has built his professional identity around the relationship between design, investment, and modern living. The Indian-born architect and entrepreneur, who founded OKSA Developer, was recently honoured at a cultural event in Dubai, highlighting his appreciation for the arts and his interest in supporting creative communities.

For Osama, architecture and art share an important connection: both require imagination, a strong understanding of people, and the ability to transform ideas into something meaningful. While his career has largely centred on architectural consultancy and real estate development, his participation in the cultural gathering reflected an interest that extends beyond the commercial aspects of business.

The event brought attention to the role of individuals from the entrepreneurial world in encouraging creativity and supporting artistic expression. Osama’s recognition also underscored the value of cultural platforms that bring together people from different professional backgrounds to celebrate talent, heritage, and creative achievement.

A Journey Built on Architecture and Experience

Osama Ahmad Khan began his professional journey in architecture in 2012, developing an approach that combines design innovation with practical functionality. His early years in the industry helped shape his understanding of how architectural planning can influence everyday experiences, whether in residential spaces, commercial environments, or larger development projects.

In 2013, he joined Al Gafry Consulting Architects and Engineers as a Design Architect. His responsibilities expanded over time, with appointments as Assistant Manager and Design Architect between 2015 and 2016, and subsequently as General Manager and Architect from 2016 to 2021. In 2021, he became the owner and Managing Director of the company.

Under his leadership, Al Gafry has completed more than 650 projects across Dubai. Its professional services encompass architectural and engineering design, interior design, project management, and site supervision. The establishment of additional branch offices in Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah further expanded the company’s presence across the UAE.

These experiences gave Osama an opportunity to work across different aspects of the built environment, from conceptual design to project execution. They also helped shape his understanding of the relationship between architectural quality, client requirements, and the practical considerations involved in delivering successful developments.

Building a Real Estate Vision Through OKSA Developer

In June 2024, Osama established OKSA Developer with the objective of translating his architectural experience and investment perspective into real estate developments of his own.

The company introduced The Eighty One, a customised luxury villa in Al Furjan, and is developing The Eighty Three, a G+4 residential building in Dubai South. These developments represent the company’s focus on contemporary residential design and the integration of architectural planning with investment considerations.

Osama’s background in architectural consultancy provides an important foundation for his development strategy. By drawing on the design capabilities associated with Al Gafry, he seeks to maintain a close connection between the creative and technical aspects of construction and the broader objectives of property development.

His experience as both an architect and an investor also influences how he approaches projects. Rather than viewing design and commercial considerations as separate priorities, his professional philosophy brings them together, with attention to aesthetics, functionality, lifestyle requirements, and the long-term appeal of a property.

Through OKSA Developer, he intends to continue building a portfolio that reflects contemporary living standards while exploring opportunities in Dubai’s evolving real estate market.

A Personal Appreciation for Art and Creativity

Although architecture and property development remain central to his career, Osama has also expressed a strong admiration for artists and the role they play in society.

Art can communicate experiences that extend beyond words, preserve cultural traditions, and connect people across generations. For Osama, these qualities make artistic expression an important part of the wider social and cultural environment.

Speaking at the Dubai event, he shared his perspective on the importance of supporting the creative community.

“I have always had a deep appreciation for art and the creativity that artists bring to society. Art has the power to connect people, preserve culture, and inspire future generations. I want to support artists in all the ways I can and contribute to creating opportunities where their talent can be recognised and celebrated,” Osama Ahmad Khan said.

He also highlighted the importance of providing artists with platforms where their work can reach wider audiences. Greater visibility, he believes, can help creative individuals receive the appreciation they deserve and encourage more people to engage with artistic and cultural initiatives.

His remarks reflected a desire to contribute to an environment where artists are valued for their ideas, dedication, and creative contributions. Such support can also help strengthen connections between business communities and the cultural sector.

Connecting Business, Design, and Culture

Osama’s professional journey demonstrates how architectural expertise can extend into real estate entrepreneurship, with design serving as a foundation for broader business decisions. His interest in the arts adds another dimension to this perspective, reflecting an appreciation for creativity in both the built environment and cultural life.

Architecture shapes the spaces in which people live and work, while art influences how they understand and experience the world around them. Both disciplines depend on creative thinking and the ability to communicate ideas through tangible expression.

The cultural honour in Dubai brought these interests together, recognising Osama’s entrepreneurial background while highlighting his stated intention to support artists and encourage creative expression.

As he continues to develop OKSA Developer and explore new opportunities in real estate, Osama remains interested in the wider contribution of creativity to society. His vision encompasses not only the development of modern residential spaces but also a greater appreciation for the people whose artistic work enriches communities.

The recognition serves as a milestone in his continuing journey, bringing attention to a professional who operates at the intersection of architecture, investment, and entrepreneurship while expressing a commitment to the enduring value of art and culture.
