Bengaluru: Daughters, wife commit suicide over man’s extramarital affair

Synopsis

Due to the alleged philandering ways of a deviant husband, a mother and her two daughters in Bengaluru took the extreme step of hanging themselves till death, squarely blaming him for the suicide.

Bengaluru: Two sisters and their mother have committed suicide over the extramarital affair of their father and husband respectively.

The incident was reported from Hanumanthanagar.

The mother has been identified as Rajeshwari. The two sisters have been identified as Manasa and Bhumika.

Rajeshwari married Siddayya 18 years ago. He worked in BESCOM.

Life was smooth sailing, but it is said Siddayya fell into philandering ways, throwing his family’s health out of gear.

When his wife Rajeshwari learnt of his attitude, she begged him to mend his ways, but he didn’t relent.

Every day, the two would quarrel, in presence of their daughters.

On the day of Varamahalakshmi festival, Siddayya refused to take part in the festivities at home. Instead, it is said he decided to go on a trip with his paramour. Stumped and pained at the behaviour exhibited by Siddayya, his wife and daughters decided to end their lives.

Before hanging themselves till death, Bhumika updated her WhatsApp status with the message which read “Everyone should have a good and noble father. Our father ruined our lives. Our father is responsible for our death.”

It is reported that the three hanged themselves in the wee hours of August 10.

A case has been registered in Hanumanthanagar and police have launched a manhunt for Siddayya.
