Let’s take a moment to look at the vast expanse of nature, get lost among the stars and feel the wetness of water. June 5 is after all World Environment Day. This special day, designated by the UN, requires us to immerse ourselves in our immediate environment, take action and be aware of what’s happening around us.

This year’s theme, reconnecting to nature asks us to go back to the basics and build an intimate relationship with everything that’s around us. It’s not just the UN, celebrities are also asking us to feel one with our environment so that we can save it for the generations that come later. This year, several celebrities have come out and spoken about the importance of taking care of the environment, here are some of our favourite social media posts.

Let's take the pledge to save the #environment & give a better future to our next generation. Go green go natural! #WorldEnvironmentDay2017
